Still Standing

Okay, I thought I had uploaded this already but apparently I was wrong. This is a personal project I started a few years ago, reason for the tears and worn out look. Hence the key word started. I lost patience and stopped working on it. Then during the beginning...ish? of my senior year of high school, in 2009, I started working on it again. Took me about a month or so with all the research of the human anatomy, shading and, of course, my patience. But my teacher like it and put it in an artist display case with a bunch of other artists' work at one of the local malls. Also, I took this picture with my camera while it was leaning against the desk wall, so forgive me for that.

The title Still Standing is to honor all soldiers who fight for what they believe is true and die in honor of that belief. This skeleton represents that, even in death, he still stands for his beliefs while others fall away from their beliefs, the skulls around him.

You may be thinking Hey, that looks like the skeleton on My Chemical Romance's Black Parade Album cover. Before you note me or leave a comment about this, let me say one thing. I KNOW! I actually started this project wanting to draw said skeleton from said band's album cover but lost patience and made this. So if anyone has a problem with the similarities, please note me about it. I am sure we can come to a conclusion that both of us can agree upon.
